Taylor Swift's Family Road Trip to New Zealand Features Too Many Bugs and Not Enough Austin Swift

Taylor Swift, Austin Swift, Instagram

Welcome to the great outdoors, Taylor Swift !
As the "Wildest Dreams" singer continues her 1989 World Tour—it's your turn Australia—the blond beauty managed to sneak in some family time over the Thanksgiving holiday.
In several photos posted on Taylor's Instagram, fans learned that New Zealand was the lucky destination for the Swift family as they took some time to enjoy the fresh air.
"Swift family road trip!" she wrote on social media. "South Island, NZ."
Taylor later added a video that featured her brother Austin Swift and their dad playing by the river.
While it may look picture-perfect, there was one serious problem the "Shake It Off" singer faced when throwing stones into the water. What is that buzz we're hearing?! It's annoying flying insects, of course.
"There's a lot of bugs here," she joked when swatting a pesky creature away from her face. Stay away from the mouth, flies. She needs that for her singing voice.
Before Christmas arrives next month, Taylor has much to look forward to. In addition to performing more sold-out concerts—where she will likely make the days of several fans—the singer will also be turning 26 on Dec. 13.
Reports are already swirling that her squad including Selena Gomez and Karlie Kloss are coming together for a star-studded birthday party in the weeks ahead.
Swifties, we've all been warned. After all, nobody throws a party like T. Swift.

Taylor Swift 'settles Lucky 13 logo row'

Taylor Swift

Pop star Taylor Swift has settled a legal disagreement with a US clothing company over her use of its Lucky 13 name, reports have said.
Blue Sphere accused Swift of copyright infringement after she branded some of her products, such as t-shirts, with the same phrase.
Representatives for both sides said they had made an undisclosed settlement out of court on Friday.

Love of the number 13

Legal papers were filed in 2014 and a trial date had been set for January 2016, prior to the settlement being reached.
US clothing firm Blue Sphere claimed in May last year that the pop star had began marketing and selling her own clothing line bearing the Lucky 13 phrase and a shamrock.
It also said she had used it in a "Lucky 13" sweepstake deal made with a greeting card company, said Hollywood Reporter.
Swift told MTV in 2009: "I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first number one song had a 13-second intro," she said. "Every time I've won an award I've been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter."
Swift said she was being harassed by the company after it said it wanted to question her about her use and understanding of trademark rights and sponsorships.
She also said she would not be able to submit to demands that she give evidence at a trial due to her busy tour schedule.

Harassment claim denied

Blue Sphere began investigating Swift's deals with big brand companies including Elizabeth Arden and Coco-Cola.
It also wanted the right to examine photographs and videos of Swift in which her buttocks or breasts were at least partially visible in order to understand her personal control over her brand and image.
Blue Sphere's argument was that Swift's image was relevant to the Lucky 13 case and the company's doubt over the pop star's understanding of consumer impact.
In August, a federal judge denied Swift's harassment claim and request for a protective order to prevent her being forced to answer questions and the trial date was set.
The Lucky 13 case is the third recent legal case involving Swift.
Earlier this month legal papers were filed against her for damages of $42m (£27m) for Swift's alleged theft of the lyrics to US R&B singer Jesse Braham's hit 2014 song Shake It Off.
Braham claimed in legal papers Swift stole the words from a song he wrote in 2013 called Haters Gone Hate.
And last month, Swift filed a counterclaim against a US radio DJ who is suing her over allegations he groped her backstage at a concert in June 2013.

Katy Perry tops Taylor Swift (by $55M) in female top-earners list

Katy Perry performs at rally for Hillary Clinton, in

Taylor Swift may have gotten all the glory this year, but rival Katy Perry got more of the money, saysForbes magazine.
Not that Swift, 25, ended up destitute, of course. She earned $80 million between June 2014 and June 2015, according to Forbes' calculations, released Wednesday.
But Perry, 31, took in $135 million, thanks to a world tour, a slew of hits and lucrative deals with major companies happy to hand over millions for Perry's endorsements of their products, the magazine says.
Formerly pals, now turned frenemies, Perry and Swift have had their disagreementsthis year. But Perry has been making more waves lately as one of Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton's most public celebrity supporters.
Her empowerment anthem, Roar, is one of Clinton's campaign songs. Last month, Perry performed for her at a patriotically-themed youth-vote rally in Iowa. She even took over Clinton's Instagram account to declare her fandom and urge young people to vote.
I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company,”Forbes quoted Perry as saying in its Celebrity 100 cover story this summer. “I’m an entrepreneur. … I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by the (horns).”
Swift is not hurting. Her tour around best-selling album 1989 is grossing so much (about $4 million per city), that Forbes predicts she's "got the early edge for the No. 1 spot on our list next year."Swift, who was in Singapore Thursday, tweeted her congratulations to winners at the Country Music Awards Wednesday in Nashville.
